Rufin coordinates the GlobalFocus Center's research activities in the Balkans, participating in and organizing thematic events and developing analytical materials. He also coordinates a newer program on security and asymmetric threats (radicalization, terrorism, hybrid warfare, cyberwarfare). Rufin Zamfir holds a degree in communications from the National School of Political and Administrative Studies in Romania (thesis on normalizing dialogue in Serbia-Kosovo relations) and studied terrorism and political violence studies at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.
