Tomasz Baran is a doctor (graduate of the Medical University of Lublin, currently the Medical University of Lublin), he completed the MBA program of the Warsaw School of Economics and the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM). He is the vice president of Polski Bank Komórek Macierzystych and a member of the board of Vita34 AG in Leipzig, both companies operate in Europe under the FamiCord brand, providing stem cell banking services for transplantation. FamiCord is the largest bank in Europe and the third largest in the world in this field.

In addition, Tomasz Baran performs several roles in the Group companies, the most important of which is the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of FamiCordTx. FamiCordTx develops the production of breakthrough anticancer drugs in Poland belonging to the CAR-category.
