He was born on 18 April 1969. He studied environmental engineering. Since 2007, Member of the Sejm of the 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th term. In 2021, he was appointed by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki to the Council of Policy Advisers. In 2019, he was appointed Chairman of the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development, as well as the Standing Subcommittee for Monitoring the European Union's Common Agricultural Policy. In 2021, he became the chairman of the Standing Subcommittee for Monitoring the Control of African Swine Fever and Other Infectious Diseases of Livestock, as well as Deputy Chairman of the Standing Subcommittee on Renewable Energy Sources and Supervision of Nuclear Energy Investments. He is also a member of the Parliamentary Committee on Energy, Climate and State Assets and the Parliamentary Committee on National and Ethnic Minorities, as well as permanent parliamentary delegations and bilateral groups; he is chairman of the Polish-Latvian Parliamentary Group and deputy chairman of the Polish-Armenian Parliamentary Group.

He also serves as chairman of the Parliamentary Team of Members and Supporters of the Light-Life Movement and Catholic Action, and deputy chairman of the Parliamentary Team for Village Leaders and the Parliamentary Team for Firefighters. Previously, Robert Telus worked as director of the Voivodeship Inspectorate for Environmental Protection in Łódź and managed the Opoczno Public Utilities Company. He also served two terms as an Opoczno District Councillor. He ranks among the top members of the parliament hailing from the Łódź region in terms of work and parliamentary activity. Robert Telus is also one of the originators and co-founders of the Dar dla Potrzebujących Foundation, whose greatest achievement is the establishment and opening of a Family Children's Home in Mroczków Gościnny near Opoczno. He constantly strives to share the love of the homeland, Christian values and respect for common culture to the younger generation. Father of four children. Together with his wife, Małgorzata, they were also a foster family for five children. The Minister of Agriculture is a farmer by profession. He owns an ecological farm in Ostrów near Opoczno. Horse breeding is his passion.
