Małgorzata Gosiewska

Deputy Speaker of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland

Born on 22 July 1966 in Gdańsk. In her youth, she was involved with the Independent Students' Association in Gdańsk. She gained professional experience as an employee of the National Commission of the Independent Self-Governing Trade Union "Solidarność." She was active in local government as a councillor of the Bielany Municipality, a councillor of the City of Warsaw, a councillor of the Mazovia Voivodeship Assembly and Deputy Mayor of Ursus. Since the beginning of her political career, she has been associated with the Centre Alliance. She was a founding member of Law and Justice and an advisor on eastern policy to the President of the Republic of Poland, the late Prof. Lech Kaczyński. Member of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland for the 5th, 7th, 8th and 9th parliamentary terms.

She is focused on defending the Polish raison d'état and historical truth. In the Chancellery of the President, she was the originator of systemic humanitarian aid in areas of armed conflicts, including spectacular special projects – the organiser of holiday trips for war-affected Georgian children and young Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, the initiator of direct aid, humanitarian convoys to destroyed villages in the so-called buffer zone in Georgia.

Active and present at the Kyiv Maydan during the Revolution of Dignity, later repeatedly at the front line of the Ukrainian-Russian conflict in Donbas. Author of a report on Russian war crimes in eastern Ukraine, submitted to the International Criminal Court in The Hague. Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine (24.02.2022), she has organised humanitarian aid, which she delivers in person to places affected by Russian aggression. She is the Chairwoman of the Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Republic of Poland and Georgia and the Chairwoman of the Delegation of the Sejm and Senate of the Republic of Poland to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Sejm and Senate of the Republic of Poland and the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania. She serves as Chairwoman of the Polish-Georgian and Polish-Serbian Parliamentary Groups. Deputy Marshal of the Sejm of the 8th and 9th term.
