Partner at Deloitte, Leader of the Sustainable Development team in Poland and Central Europe, global leader of the Climate & Sustainability agenda for the public sector

Irena has over 20 years of professional experience. At Deloitte she is partner in charge of sustainable development consulting in Central Europe in 19 countries, and global leader of the Climate & Sustainability Agenda for the public sector. She leads complex projects on ESG and sustainability strategy development, non-financial disclosure and impact reporting, decarbonization strategy and sustainable finance agenda, climate and risk management for both private and public sector entities including governments, regions and cities. Together with her team she delivered more than 1000 projects in Poland and Central Europe region. She actively participates in the work of international organizations dealing with sustainable development issues. For 15 years she has conducted prestigious studies and lectures on CSR strategy and sustainable development at Kozminski University. For nearly 20 years she has been a member of the Board of Responsible Business Forum (FOB). Together with her team she was an initiator and co-organizer of the first rankings in Poland in the field of CSR and non-financial reporting, such as CSR Letters of Polityka and Social Reports Competition. For years she has been advising the Polish government on sustainable development, Agenda 2030 and Sustainable Development Goals.
Apart from acting as the Global Government & Public Services Climate Action and Sustainability Lead, Irena is also co-leading strategic development of Public sector in Poland and Central Europe as well as is representing climate/sustainability perspective in global and EU related developments for Smart Cities. She holds a certificate of completion of the Future Leaders Program organized by the World Business Council of Sustainable Development and since 15 years is a lecturer at post-diploma studies on sustainability and climate change. Irena completed the Advanced Management Program from IESE Business School.
