Director of the WEI Centre for Strategic Studies. Vice president of the Warsaw Enterprise Institute. Ph.D. in political science, an expert in international affairs, mainly Eastern European issues. Plenipotentiary of the Prime Minister of Poland for Supporting Reforms in the Republic of Moldova. Co-chairman of the Polish-Czech Forum under the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Poland and the Czech Republic. Member of the Foreign Policy College of the President of Poland. Member of the Consultative Committee of the Presidents of Poland and Ukraine. Advisor to the President of Ukraine within the Working Group on International Security Guarantees for Ukraine (2022). A former director of the Warsaw-based Center for Eastern Studies – OSW (2016-2022) and deputy director of OSW for eight years (2008-2016). Earlier, head of research and senior fellow at the Polish Institute of International Affairs – PISM (2002-2008) and a chief correspondent for the Polish news agency PAP in Moscow (2001-2002).
A former lecturer at the Diplomatic Academy for students of the diplomatic-consular application of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland. A guest lecturer at European, American, and Asian universities and think tanks. Member of the editorial board of the “Polish Diplomatic Review”. Awarded Knight’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta (2015).
