Marta Gajęcka

Graduate of International Economic and Political Relations at the Warsaw School of Economics. She also holds a Polish-French Diploma of European Studies from the Warsaw School of Economics and the Paris Institute of Political Studies.

In 2018 – 2020 she served as Country Manager and from 2019 as Management Board member of EDP Energia Polska. Earlier, she also held the office of Vice-President of PGE Energia Odnawialna S.A. and Vice-President of PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna.
In 2017-2020 she was a supernumerary social advisor to the President of the Republic of Poland for economic matters and innovation. In 2007-2010 she acted as Vice-President of the European Investment Bank in Luxemburg. During this time she was also Alternate Governor of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in London.

Among others, she has also served as Partner and Director at Ernst & Young, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Finance, a financial advisor at the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Poland to the European Union in Brussels and a financial advisor at the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Poland to the OECD in Paris. On 14 September 2020, the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda, at the request of the Governor of Narodowy Bank Polski, appointed Marta Gajęcka member of the Management Board of Narodowy Bank Polski with effect from 1 January 2021.
