Katarzyna Szwarc

Government Plenipotentiary for Capital Market Development Strategy at the Ministry of Finance

A graduate of the Institute of Public Affairs at the London School of Economics, the Faculty of Law at the University of Warsaw and the "Rethinking Capitalism" programme under the guidance of Professor Mariana Mazzucato at University College London.
She has many years of experience working in financial market institutions. She started her professional career at the Warsaw Stock Exchange. From 2013 to 2015 she managed the Regulatory Policy Office at the Polish Power Exchange (TGE). From 2015 to 2020, she was manager of public policy and government relations at the Intercontinental Exchange: New York Stock Exchange in London and Brussels. Subsequently, she worked with the LSE Grantham Research Institute in the area of financing a just transition and the Instrat Foundation as leader of the Sustainable Finance program.
She has served on a number of working and advisory groups including ESMA (European Securities and Markets Authority).
