POSITION & EDUCATION

Jacek Sasin was born on 6th November 1969 in Warsaw, Poland. He is a Polish politician, currently serving as the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, since 4th June 2019. As of the 15th of November 2019 he holds the position of the Minister of State Assets. He graduated from the University of Warsaw and holds a master’s degree in history, at the Faculty of History. He completed postgraduate studies in public administration management at the Leon Kozminski Academy of Entrepreneurship and Management (currently: Kozminski University).

PROFESSIONAL CAREER

Sasin began his career by joining the Foundation for Polish-German Reconciliation. In the years 1998-2004 he worked at the Office for War Veterans and Victims of Oppression, where he headed the Department of Judicature. Since 2007 he worked closely with the late President of the Republic of Poland Lech Kaczyński, initially as his advisor. In years 2009-2010 he served as the Secretary of State and Deputy Chief of the Chancellery of the President of Poland. In 2010, Sasin became a councillor of the Mazovian Voivodship Parliament. Since 2011 he serves as a member of the Sejm. In the 2011 parliamentary elections, he was elected as a member of the 7th term Sejm, where he held the office of Vice-chairman of the Local Government and Regional Policy Committee and was a member of the Internal Affairs Committee. In the 2015 parliamentary elections, he was reelected and became a Member of the 8th term Sejm. He served as the Chairman of the Public Finances Committee and the standing Subcommittee for the Local Government System and was a member of the Local Government and Regional Policy Committee.

On January 9th 2018 he was appointed the Secretary of State at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister and the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Council of Ministers, and later the Secretary of the Council of Ministers.
