Geopolitics – how much does peace cost?

Si vis pacem, para bellum - says the Latin proverb. The conflict in Ukraine showed that a large part of NATO countries did not remember it. Russian aggression took them by surprise politically, but also militarily. Is the current war ending an era without wars in Europe? What is the price of peace?
