Wojciech Skurkiewicz was born on December 5, 1969 in Radom. He graduated from the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science at the University of Warsaw.

From 1994 to 2004 he worked as a journalist at the Radom Catholic AVE Radio. From 2004 to 2006 he was program coordinator and then head of the editorial department of Radio Plus Radom. From 2006 to 2007, he served as spokesman for the General Directorate of State Forests in Warsaw. From 2006 to 2007 he was a councilman and chairman of the Radom City Council. He is a member of the NSZZ "Solidarity". He was a senator from 2007 to 2015.

In 2015, he won a mandate as an MP of the eighth term from the Law and Justice lists, and served as vice-chairman of the parliamentary national defense commission.
