Jakub Dubik
Cellist
He graduated with honours from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw in the class of Professor Tomasz Strahl. His artistic output includes concerts in such halls as: the Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York, the Chamber Music Hall at the Berlin Philharmonic, the Brahms Saal at the Musikverein in Vienna, the W. Lutosławski Studio of the Polish Radio in Warsaw, the European Krzysztof Penderecki Centre in Lusławice. The cellist has won numerous awards at international competitions in New York, Berlin, Ljubljana, Vienna, Warsaw and Poznań. He is a co-founder of Cello Brothers duo, where he composes and performs his own compositions, combining classical music with electronic music.
Jakub Dubik is also the originator and artistic director of the Talent Bank. This is a very valuable initiative enabling talented young instrumentalists from all over Poland to have free master classes with outstanding musicians, professors of music academies.
