David Kramer

University lecturer, expert on Russian affairs, Russianist

Member of the Václav Havel Human Rights and Diplomacy Program and Director of European and Eurasian Studies, Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs, Florida International University. Executive Director of Global Policy George W. Bush Institute.
Previously, Kramer served as president of Freedom House and also worked at the McCain Institute and the Marshall Fund in the United States. He served in the U.S. Department of State for eight years in the George W. Bush administration, including as Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights and Labor and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs.
