Brian Whitmore is a senior employee, Russia and Eurasia specialist, at The Atlantic Council in Washington, DC and an adjunct professor at the McDowell Center at the University of Texas at Arlington. From 2018-20, he was Russia program director at the European Center for Geopolitical Analysis. Previously, he was a Russia analyst at Radio Free Europe. He has also worked as a foreign correspondent for The Boston Globe in Moscow and Prague.
