Energy security of supply of European countries

The Russian invasion of Ukraine imposes the need to revise Europe's existing energy policy. At the same time, it has contributed to a drastic increase in the price of energy resources and increased concerns about the sustainability of the post-pandemic economic recovery. The armed conflict clearly demonstrated the scale of dependence of EU member states on supplies of hydrocarbons and coal from Russia. EU countries had to answer fundamental questions about Europe's energy security. How can the previously set climate goals be maintained in the new reality? What are the alternative sources and directions of gas supply to Poland? How can/should Europe replace Russian supplies? What is the European Energy Union project?
