Disinformation in the energy sector

Russia's physical aggression against Ukraine initiated a multifaceted information war waged by forces supporting the Russian regime. The goal of the activities carried out was and is to achieve certain public attitudes and behavior, create fears, and introduce discussion, false information and a sense of threat among citizens into the public space.

One of the main targets of disinformation attacks has become energy and heat security in Poland and Europe. The panel "Disinformation in the Energy Sector" will provide an opportunity to discuss why it is the energy sector that has become one of the main targets of disinformation campaign attacks, why, at least some of them, have been effective, and what initiatives have been taken to offset the effects of disinformation campaigns.
